Xu Han is a New Media Artist, Graphic Designer and Educator who graduated from Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, and from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a major in Visual Communication. Her MFA degree was in Parsons School of Design major in Design and Technology with the President scholarship funded. Her works have been awarded by Indigo Design Award, the 2018 NYC Media Lab, 2019 Present Future Art and Technology, GDUSA and 215|610 CONTEMPORARY (2019). She exhibited at the CICA Museum, NeurIPS Creativity Workshop, THE WRONG - New Digital Art Biennale, NYC Media Lab, Pittsburgh Performance Art Festival. Her works have been published in VoyageLA ,Artron.net, mcchina.com, Lumpen Magazine, 60sec.org, RG Magazine, Full Access NYC.
She has been engaged in art & technology and is interested in finding different perspectives of language in the communication methods of humans, including reading, listening, body language, and also emotion. Her projects involved performance art, art installations, generative texts, artist book design, etc. She is an adjunct professor at California College of Art and Pratt Institute.
